Our practice is led by Richard J. Thornblad who has over 30
years of experience in and around the financial services industry.
Dick is an accomplished business development executive with a focus
on growing business by building sound relationships. He has experience
in the technology sector, securities industry, banking, association
management, as well as the insurance and annuity industry. Dick has
organized and directed sales forces and has provided sales and
marketing support for firms with cutting-edge solutions seeking to
gain added market share within the financial services industry, and beyond.
Dick has a proven track record of working independently and as member of
a team to identify financial opportunities through ongoing research,
partner contact, and strategic analysis of business situations. He
will mentor and maximize a sales team's success in securing substantial
revenues, establish sales and strategic plans to generate profits and
assess potential business issues and solutions to remain competitive in
continuously changing business environments.
He also has a successful track record of penetrating global top tier
and regional broker/dealers, mutual funds and insurance companies.
Is successful in leveraging close personal relationships with key
executives in the financial services industry. Is personable and
action-oriented, able to make decisions quickly. He has expertise at
negotiating deals, generating revenue, and building relationships.
Dick is comfortable calling on C level executives, as well as line
and product managers.

- In 27 months at major provider of financial data, helped negotiate over
$7 million in recurring revenue.
- Conversant in solutions designed to reduce a firm's overall
technology footprint.
- Experienced with content involving asset allocation, hypothetcial
presentations, risk analysis, security classification methodology,
sophisticated financial planning tools and performance analysis.
- Led a team of 5 regional sales managers engaged in analytical and
consultative sales of business information services and products to senior
financial executives. Region generated $13 million in recurring revenue.
- Designed and implemented sales campaign for technology firm seeking
further penetration of the securities industry leading to over $260k in
immediately closing business and a significant increase in new business pipeline.
- Over 11 years with major trade association, developed extensive network of
key decision makers within the securities industry.
- Organized bank outside sales program.
- Opened first bank operated travel agency in New York City.
